Hi, Due to an imminent relocation I am having to find a new home for my 3 hens. They are 'brown hens' although they are more brown and white patterns and are just over 3 years old. They have lived together all their lives and get on well. They are very friendly and love children - especially those with food! They enjoy people's company and will sit with you in the garden on a sunny day (they have a free range life). 'Whitey' the smallest is in charge and she also produces outrageously big eggs. Here's the problem though, she last laid an egg on 9th May and the other two have also stopped. I am not sure if they have stopped for good or are having a rest as they haven't stopped before in 3 years - even over winter and in the snow! They have also never moulted, so perhaps they are just 'resting'! So, would anybody like some hen-pets? I don't like to think about putting them down. we are based between Maud & New Deer. Thanks for reading!

Hi Lucy, no problem, dont know what happened there then! We would be quite happy to take your girlies in here, and either rehome them together, or they could just as easily stay with us. If they dont lay, thats not a problem, we have several that have given up, and several more that are on an extended break, so we dont mind!
Just give us a quick call if you want to bring them out and we will get a house and run ready for them, so they dont have to meet all the others on the day - tel 0796 225 3867
