Hey. I was just wondering about a seagull i brought in yesterday that was dragging its wing when i found it and how its doing if its injuries were treatable. Got told i could give a ring and find out how things went with it if i liked but feel that if i phone im taking up time on the line that could be used dealing with more important calls!! Anyway hope things went well with the gull if possible, i didnt actually expect anywhere to take in a seagull! Thanks, Jamie

Hi Jamie
We happily take in gulls, we usually have a few here with us. Sadly however, the gull you brought us was too severely injured, and we called the vet out to have him put out of his misery. Dont let it put you off rescuing though please, we do feel at the very least if we cannot save them, we can offer them a dignified end.
Its always sad when anything is injured and people pass by, either thinking it will get better by itself, or that nothing can probably be done. Many, many animals and birds can be saved, rehabilitated and released back to the wild, but sadly not all are mendable. Better though they have a peaceful passing away, than being repeatedly hit by passing cars etc.
Thanks very much Jamie for taking the time and trouble to bring the gull to us.
Best wishes Pauline
